Wow, what a busy day! After seeing the kids off to school, I came home and wanted to take a power nap and start on the cleaning, that didn't get done the whole weekend *blush* That power nap lasted 2 hours! Oops :o)
Anyway, after getting my coffee and checking my mail and FB, I saw that the local news station wanted me to contact them regarding a post I made on a piece they aired yesterday. I was fluttered (and maybe a bit flattered) and phoned them. All of a sudden I was in a cleaning frenzy to get this place fixed up, seeing as they wanted to come and interview me.
I have never been that quick to clean up this place LOL! They came and we used a lot of time on talking, setting up the light, the interview, finding pictures and being instructed into 'acting' - finding music, 'listening' to the music whilst looking at pictures from our holiday in SA in December 2009. I basically spent the most of my day getting preparing and being interviewed, just to get the phone call at 6pm, that they were not going to use it in anyway... Damn! I am disappointed and relieved at the same time. Disappointed that all that effort was for nothing, sort of - I got the place cleaned at least ;o) Mostly I am relieved, because it was a big step to have to go on TV and talk about the problems we're having with this visit and bringing these people into my home. So, in the end my 15 minutes of fame would have to wait. I am not in a hurry at all.
